Welcome!
The three publications presented here cover the period 1938 - 1999, when the School and thus the Contingent changed from a boys Grammar School, to a boys Comprehensive, and finally to a mixed C of E Aided Comprehensive.
During that time large numbers of Cadet Members passed through the Contingent, many of whom progressed in the Professions, not least the Military, or into other significant forms of employment.
The Contingent held many records, not least winning the British Schools Hovercraft Championships, producing the largest number of International Cadet Exchange places of any British School, plus outstanding success in the Devon Interservice Cadet Pentathlon Championships, winning both the male and female, team and individual competitions. Many hundreds of members also gained their Bronze, Silver, and Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Awards.
Judging by the large number of emails that I receive from past members, the 'Corps' clearly played a significant part in their youth, and holds many happy , and in some cases amusing memories.
